Essie - Mirror Metallics

Hi guys! Hope you are all well! Today I have some colours from the Essie - Mirror Metallics collection to show you, even though it has been out for quite some time, it's still a classic collection I wanted to try! There are 5 colours in this collection but today i'll be showing you 4 of them; Penny Talk (a bronze penny chrome shade), Blue Rhapsody (a mid silvery-blue chrome), Nothing Else Metals (a silvery lilac) and No Place Like Chrome (a silver chrome). As usual with chrome polishes, these dry very quick so you need to have a quick, light hand when applying otherwise you will drag the polish and it will be uneven. They are amazing colours and Penny Talk is so worth the hype! I applied 2 coats of each followed by 1 coat of G&G topcoat. Please excuse the different nail lengths in the photos, I had a break when I swatched the second half of these polishes. Essie can be found at Myer and Priceline (who have a really great sale on at the moment, selling these mirror metallic polishes for only $4.47!! - i'd suggest jumping online here now!)

No Place Like Chrome
Nothing Else Matters

Which colour is your favourite? Hope you enjoyed this post! xx

Opalescence Go Teeth Whitening Treatment

Hi everyone! Hope you are doing well and looking forward to the weekend! Today I have a product to show you by the brand Opalescence, that specialises in teeth whitening. The treatment I tested was the take home pack called Go 6%, an affordable whitening treatment that contains 6% hydrogen peroxide, and is so powerful and effective it is only dispensed by dentists. The way it works is that the powerful whitening gel comes in a prefilled, disposable tray that is simply inserted into the mouth and worn for an hour.

This product was super easy to use but did require a few tasks to be done before and after the application. The packaging says it must be refrigerated when not in use, but when you are intending on using the product you must let it cool to room temperature so you will need to plan in advance if you want to do it that night. It is ideal to do at night once you have finished eating because you need to brush your teeth straight after. Each tray has the letter T and B for top and bottom so you place them in your mouth, over your teeth and gently suck to make the gel adhere to the teeth. Once it feels securely placed you can take the plastic layer off the top of each tray and let it sit in your mouth for about an hour. After an hour it feels a bit funny as you're used to having something in your mouth restricting your teeth from fully closing but that quickly goes back to normal. I then brushed my teeth and examined my teeth. One thing I noticed actually was that some of my teeth had small whiter dots on them compared to the whole tooth, but this completely disappeared by the morning. I definitely noticed my teeth are much whiter than before and look great! It has been a month since I've used my last tray and i'm very happy with the results. Check out the website here to find out where you can try Opalescence in your area.

Before
Right after first treatment was applied, with visible whiter parts of the teeth showing
After, the next morning
I really enjoyed using this product and will definitely be using it when I notice my teeth start to become less white, it is a much quicker alternative to whitening toothpastes or pens and it caused me no sensitivity at all!

Bobbi Brown - New Products 2014

Hi everyone! How are you? I hope you are having a fantastic week so far! Today I have some cosmetics by Bobbi Brown to show you. I have 3 of the new long wear gel sparkle gel liners, as well as 2 brow products, a limited edition Creamy Matte Lip Colour from the upcoming Smokey Nudes collection and 1 nail polish. Let's jump right in! Bobbi Brown is available online at www.bobbibrown.com.au and at Myer and David Jones nationally.

Long-Wear Gel Sparkle Shadow + Liner (RRP $42.00, on counters October 5th) in the shades; 1 Night Sky (a gorgeous deep blue-black with blue and purple sparkles in it), 2 Thunderstorm (a dark gunmetal with silver sparkles) and 4 Sunlit Bronze (a beautiful deep copper/bronze with copper and red sparkles). They are all magnificent products to see in person, with their shimmering sparkle that catches the light beautifully. When applied, they are quite sheer (which is perfect for the 'shadow' part of the product, but in terms of the 'liner' part of the product, it was difficult to build opacity for a strong lined eye look. The products are super creamy and glide on very well. I am yet to test it's long-wear capabilities.
Night Sky
Thunderstorm
Sunlit Bronze

Creamy Matte Lip Colour in the shade 21 Warm Nude, a nude peach creme (RRP $44.00, available here). This shade suits my olive complexion perfectly. It is just on the dark nude side but compliments my eyes and brown hair really nicely. It is creamy, as well as being a matte and lasts for about 4-5 hours before I notice it needs to be reapplied. It's so soft when it's on your lips! I'm in love!

Natural Brow Shaper & Hair Touch Up in the shades Clear and 6 Rich Brown (RRP $44.00, available here). This product is very straight forward and tames the brows in place effectively. The rich brown colour is slightly too light for my eyebrows and make them look a bit ashy but on the right colour, it would definitely make them appear more precise.

Nail Polish in the shade Roza, is described on the website as a pink grey, but is more of a gorgeous sheer beige nail polish which applies perfectly in 2 coats. (RRP $23.00, available here)

What's your favourite Bobbi Brown products? I'm hooked on their creamy matte lipsticks and nail polishes!! Thanks for reading. xx

OPI - Coca Cola Collection

Hey guys! How are you going? I hope you had a great weekend! Today I have 5 out of 9 polishes to show you from this awesome Coca-Cola collection! I really like this collection and think it's a clever idea the inspiration they used for the colours so here's a look at a few of my favourites! I used 2 coats of each polish in these photos and all had amazing formulas as always!

Get Cherried Away - A very pretty dark plum purple creme polish inspired by Cherry Coke!

Sorry I'm Fizzy Today - A mid tone pink/peach creme inspired by Vanilla Coke.

Today I accomplished Zero - A black base jelly with heaps of red glitter through it, inspired by Coke Zero.

My Signature is "DC" - A stunning silver foil that is so so shimmery and beautiful in person, it is inspired by Diet Coke.

You're So Vain-illa - A light biege creme, inspired by Vanilla coke also. This is a great staple to have in your collection!

My obvious favourite is definitely My Signature is "DC" - it is so so so so so stunning in real life and I recommend you try it out for yourselves!! Which colour is your fave? Thanks for reading!

NCLA - Anarchy Collection

Hi everyone! Today I have 2 out of 4 colours to show you from the new NCLA Anarchy Collection. I will be showing Lead Vocals, Me, a stunning dark navy blue base with a duochrome glitter that shifts from a light green to dark green/blue. It is absolutely stunning and only needs 1 coat for full opacity! The second colour is called Elegantly Punk, and is a silver polish with lots of big and small silver hexagonal glitters through it. It dries slightly textured and really shines with a topcoat. The formula on both of these NCLA polishes were really good, very easy to apply and dry really quick. All images are shown with 1 coat of polish and no topcoat. NCLA retails for $21 and has only just become available in Australia. The main stockist in Australia will be peppermayo.com.au (who will be receiving their stock later this week) but i've also found that luxola stocks it too. What's your favourite NCLA shade? Let me know below! Thanks so much for reading.
