Orly - Peaceful Opposition

Enter my 500 follower giveaway here to win 7 nail polishes!

Hi loves! Today I have Orly - Peaceful Opposition* from their new Hope & Freedom 2013 collection to show you. PO is a sheer creme pink/white with small silver holographic and square glitters suspended through it. The application on this was a little thin and runny, making it a little difficult to apply but formulas differ from batches these days so don't let me stop you from getting this subtle stunner! I used 2 coats of PO here followed by 1 coat of Wicked Fast. Lovely and feminine. That's all I need to say about this gorge... hello to my collection! What do you think of this colour? Hit or miss??

Remington - Colour Protect Hair Straightener

Enter my 500 follower giveaway here to win 7 nail polishes!

Hello loves! Today I have the Remington - Colour Protect Hair Therapy Straightener* (RRP $103.95) to show you. This gem is specifically designed for coloured hair and it helps to reduce colour fading by locking in the colour by infusing micro-conditioners. It also has a smart heat sensor that will constantly adjust the temperature of the plates to avoid excess heat when styling. It automatically turns off if you have forgotten about it as well! It comes with a cool little silk pouch to keep it in when not in use. This straightener was very effective at straightening the hair quickly and thoroughly getting every strand. For this review I have used my mum's hair. Her hair type is frizzy with North African descent and is very thick. She dyes her hair brown, particularly focusing at the roots. It was great to see the effects of this product!

My mums hair looked smooth, shiny and healthy too! I definitely love this hair straightener and will definitely be using it regularly on my bleached hair tips! Thanks for reading!

Benefit - Fake Up!

Enter my 500 follower giveaway here to win 7 nail polishes!!

Hi guys! This post is show casing my new favourite concealer and in this post I will tell you why! Fake Up by Benefit* was just released in Australia and is a revolutionary crease-control hydrating concealer. It is a really cool concept, a cylindrical product and on the outside is a thick layer of vitamin E & apple seed extracts (super nourishing and soft) and in the middle of the cylinder is the concealer. I got the colour in medium and find it's a perfect shade for me. I have quite tan skin, a little bit oily (from the rose hip oil I use as my moisturiser) but it doesn't leave me looking greasy or anything. I find it particularly good at hiding my dark under eye circles..woop! So, this is my new favourite concealer and I don't think I'll ever go back to regular concealer...it's just all too drying compared to this one! Here's some pics.

Can you see the moisturising border around the concealer? Oh yeah!

What do you think of this concealer? Will you give it ago! I highly recommend it! Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

Benefit - Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation

Well hello there everyone! Today I have Benefit's highly regarded and talked about foundation to share with you today! Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation* (what a name right!) is a SPF25, brightening foundation with an oil-free formula. The colour I received is in Champagne ("Cheers to me") but I could of maybe gotten away with Honey as well (I wanted to be safe and be more pale than more orange if I chose the wrong colour). The coverage is great. I only used a small pea sized amount and it completely covered my whole face and neck area! I loved the way it made my face look, very highlighted whilst covering up any dark circles or blemishes I had. I did find it a little bit oily (ironically enough from the name) but that may have been because I use rose hip oil as my moisturiser every morning and night (even though I did apply this foundation on about 2 hours after I put my moisturiser on). It didn't feel cake-y, it felt like a tinted moisturiser and I really liked it. I tested the wear out and it lasted all day without moving or melting off my face which is great! This is a very loved product and I can see why! I also love that is has Vitamin C & E derivatives in it so I know that it's also repairing my skin as well as making it look more even. This is my new favourite foundation! What do you think of this foundation? Have you tried it yet!? Let me know below!

Orly - Flash Glam Winter Collection 2013

Hi everyone! Today I have 2 new colours to show you from Orly's new Flash Glam Winter collection! Today I will be showing you Rockets Red Glare and Atomic Splash. Check out the promo pic below for more info!

Rockets Red Glare* is a clear base with very small and large red glitters. Nothing complicated to it! Gorgeous and striking over black (which they recommend you layer all these colours over!) Shown here is 1 coat layered over 1 coat of OPI - Black Onyx.

Atomic Splash* is a clear base with very small and large gunmetal glitters. 1 coat layered over 1 coat of OPI - Black Onyx

The formula on these weren't very good to be honest. It was super runny and the glitters fell to the bottom of the bottle leaving the clear suspension at the top. Perhaps a bad batch but let me know if anyone else has this problem? Other than the formula I think they are great glitters and I love the effect it gives over a black or dark colour. Will you be purchasing any colours from this new collection? Let me know below! Thanks for reading

Artsy Wednesday - Re-Do Your First Nail Art!

I'm back to AW...yay! It had been a boring 4 months without internet at my new place and finally I am all settled and ready to go so today's AW theme is......Re-Do Your First Nail Art! I had a look through my horrible archive photos and saw my very first nail art which was . . . .this!

A valentines day nail art with little love hearts! I tried to replicate it so here is my new attempt!

Well the only difference was the gold colour I used in my newer photo. The pink is China Glaze - Strawberry Fields and China Glaze - Midnight Kiss for the gold stripe across the nail. I didn't mind it. . I kinda stuffed up the love hearts but hey! Maybe i'll re-do this again in another year and see how much I've improved! What do you think?? :)

Make sure to check out these wonderful other AW ladies!!

Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss Collection 2013

Hi guys! Today I have two colours from Covergirl's new nail polish line called Outlast Stay Brilliant Gloss. They have completely changed their bottles from the last time I bought one of their polishes and I love the new look! Hello Chanel look-alike bottles :-P. The brushes are actually really great to use! Great length brush and width making it very easy to apply. The formula on these two are so good. Like butter! They have a brilliant shine even without topcoat but be sure to use a base coat to fill any ridges or impurities in your nail bed! :) Okay now onto the two colours!

Tickled Pink* is a dark pink/rose creme. I used 1 coat here.

Out Of The Blue* is a lovely royal blue creme. Only needed 1 coat below! Great coverage!!

I'm seriously loving the formula on these polishes but do think we have seen colours like these too often! Can't wait to try other colours from this collection. Will you be trying any? Thanks for reading!

Pink & Blue Leopard Print

Hi guys! Today I have a leopard print mani I did last night. After I used Passions For Petals* I wanted to spruce it up so I got out my Essie - Bikini So Teeny and OPI - Black Onyx and dotted on the design. I finished it off with 1 coat of China Glaze - Fairy Dust (a gorgeous holographic topper) to add some pizazz and then 1 coat of Wicked Fast. I really like this design, it's super cool and I love the contrasting colours. What do you think? :)

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

China Glaze - Passions For Petals (Avant Garden Collection)

Hi guys! Today I have China Glaze - Passions For Petals* to show you from their new Avant Garden collection. PFP is a pink-red creme, more of like a dark salmon colour. I used 2 coats followed by 1 coat of wicked fast. Application was very easy and formula was nice consistency. This colour wasn't really my top pick but I still like it nonetheless..girly and eye catching. What colour are you loving from the new collection? I have an awesome leopard-print design for you tomorrow using this base colour so make sure you come back and check it out!

Thanks for reading darls!

OPI - Funny Bunny

Hi guys! Today I have OPI - Funny Bunny* to show you. This colour is a sheer white jelly. Think Essie - Marshmallow really! It is quite opaque on 2 coats for a sheer white. I love this clean, fresh and simple look, it gives my hands a nice refreshing look and very chic too! I finished it off with 1 coat of Wicked Fast.

Thanks for reading! Have a nice day and I'll speak to you all again soon! (After I finish this bloody assignments!)

Nicole by OPI - Candid Cameron

Hi all! Today I'm in love. I don't think i've fallen hard for a polish since Butter London - Fiver hit my nails (see my love for it here)! Today I am showing you a colour by NOPI called Candid Cameron* from the Modern Family collection. Now I don't just love this colour because it has my partners name in it (but makes me love it a little bit more), I absolutely adore this colour!! It might not be new to some of you (think the China Glaze - Bohemian Luster Chrome collection) but I only tried 1 colour from that collection which I wasn't fond of, so when I tried this one out I was a bit hesitant but fell in love very soon after. Candid Cameron* is a blue-green chrome that looks like a foil has been put onto my nails. I used 2 coats followed by wicked fast. Ughh words can't describe how much I love this colour and if you haven't tried this colour I suggest you do! :) (P.s the brush stroke lines disappear when it dries..yay!)

Thanks for stopping by! See you next time :)
