Glitter Sandwich

Hi folks! Sorry I haven't blogged in a week but I am frantically studying for my Zoology exam on Tuesday and i'm still far from ready so this is a quickie! I went to Kmart the other day and saw they had a brand called BC Co. There was some really nice colours and for only $2 it was a bargain so I bought a really lovely neon mint ice cream colour. It was quite sheer so I applied 2 thick coats followed by 1 coat of Cult Nails - Wicked Fast. Then I used Jordana glitters; Magenta magic and Blue bash and applied 1 coat of each followed by 1 coat of OPI - Care to Danse, followed by another coat of wicked fast, et voila!

Sorry this is a quick post today, after Tuesday things will die down and I can post more :-) Have a great week.

Ciate - Jewel + OPI - Don't Pretzel My Buttons

Hi guys!! Today I have for you a really pretty combo of nude and glitter! Ciate - Jewel is an amazing glitter! It is filled with silve holographic bar glitters suspended in a really soft blue jelly. It is amazing and so unique to normal glitters! I also used OPI - Don't Pretzel My Button, from the latest Germany collection, and it is a really flattering nude colour. I painted my ring finger and my thumb with Ciate - Jewel and all the other nails with DPMB. I used 3 coats of Jewel and 1 coat of DPMB all followed with 1 thick coat of Cult Nails - Wicked Fast.

Look at that amazingggggg holographic glitter! Yum! I hope you like this! Do you own this Ciate and love it as much as I do? Thanks for reading!!

Artsy Wednesday - Framed Nails

Hi all!! Today's Artsy Wednesday theme is framed nails...and this is pretty much just adding a line around the outside of your nail to frame it. Today's look featured my current mani, which was Ozotic 506 (seen here). It was too gorgeous too take off, and almost too gorgeous to add anything to it! I was stuck for ideas on what colour border to add, so I added a glitter! This glitter I used is a Jordana Nail Art Striper in the colour The Designer, which is a dense glitter with silver, blue, red and gold glitters. It looked amazing in person, so sparkly and subtle at the same time! I loved it!

NOTD: Ozotic 506

Hey guys!! I've bet you've all seen many swatches of 506 (or 505), if you haven't at all seen swatches, you are in for a treat! This beauty is a real gem. It is such an intrinsic multi chromatic polish! On the nails it looks like a dark blue with purple/magenta undertones, but it has more! Under certain lights and angles it also shines a gold and burnt orange colour. It is so pretty! I applied 1 coat of China Glaze - First & Last, 1 coat of OPI - Black Onyx, 1 coat of Ozotic - 506 and 1 coat of Cult Nails - Wicked Fast. I'll let the photos do the talking!

This is a magical polish and I can't believe it took me so long to try it out!! Thanks for reading and I hope you like! :)

Ciate - Mojito

Hi guys :-) Ciate - Mojito is an amazing sheer jelly green apple colour! It is super juicy looking and does best in 2 coats. I seem to have received a dud one as there was a fair bit of polish missing from the bottle and it was much gluggier than the other ciate's I bought, but I will buy another one and hopefully that one will be all good! I used 1 coat of China Glaze - First & Last, 2 coats of Ciate - Mojito and 1 coat of Cult Nails - Wicked Fast.

I couldn't stop staring at my nails whilst wearing this gorgeous colour! Do you own this? It is quite similar to Essie - Mojito madness, but a shade lighter and sheer, where as Essie is a thicker creme.

Happy International Cupcake Day!

Today is International Cupcake day and to celebrate I have done a cute little cupcake mani, and i'm also going to be baking some mini cupcakes later.. woo! For this look, I followed cutepolish's tutorial, which you can find here. It is super simple and easy to do and looks so cute! I used 3 colours only: OPI - My boyfriend Scales Walls - the white, OPI - Japanese Rose Garden - the rose coloured pink with shimmer in it, and NYS - fuschia pink striper. Here is the look! Not bad for a first go :-)

Are you going to quickly make a batch of cupcakes now that you know its ICD?! :D
Thanks for reading! I hope you like this!! :)

Ciate - Big Yellow Taxi

Good morning everybody :-) How are we all? Yesterday I received 3 ciate polishes from Beautybay.com. I know about all the controversy with Ciate "claiming" and "patenting" caviar/fish egg nails, which has put off bloggers from using their products. . but I had never tried their products before, and I really don't like to judge before I try.. So I bought 3 gorgeous colours and today I am going to show you big yellow taxi, which is simply a bright yellow creme. I have to say, i LOVE ciate bottles! They are super cute and I love the long brush lid, it makes it very easy to apply polish as the brush isn't too long. This polish required 2 coats as the first coat was a little streaky, but applied beautifully, like silk! Here I used 1 coat of China Glaze - First & Last, 2 coats of Big Yellow Taxi and 1 coat of Cult Nails - Wicked Fast.

So far, I am loving Ciate polishes and can't wait to build my collection up!
Isn't it a lovely and vibrant colour? :D Makes me smile!! Thanks for reading and have a nice day

Artsy Wednesday - Sponging

Hello again :-) Today's Artsy Wednesday theme is Sponging technique! I did try this two times, and stuck with my original shimmer sponging gradient instead of the sunrise gradient (which also looked cool but I need to perfect a bit more!) So for today I used an exisiting mani; OPI - Plugged In Plum which I had been wearing for 2 days now, so I decided to use OPI - It's My Year and OPI - DS Bronze (the name has fallen off the bottle and it's a fairly old DS colour..oops!) I sponged using an ordinary make up sponge and painting on It's My Year on the top and DS Bronze below and repeated sponging if necessary. It wasn't too bad, it looked much better in person!

Sorry about all the glitter on the sides of my nails, it was really hard to get off, even with acetone!
Don't forget to check out the other lovely ladies who participated in today's theme! I bet there will be some really awesome ones!!
